THE TEA SOCIAL

rsvp

No partner is needed:
Many of our dancers come as individuals. It is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

No costume is required:
You need not wear a costume to participate. Daywear of the Victorian era is welcome, as is other historical or fanciful dress however many come in modern day clothing.

A note about footware:
Please wear shoes that allow you to move with grace and comfort. We strongly recommend against sneakers as they stick to the floor and impede one's movement. Spike heels are cruel to the wooden floor and to anyone upon whose foot you may accidentally tread; please do not wear them.

Location & Parking:
Scottish Rite Cathedral

Pasadena, CA 91101

Located between Walnut Street & Colorado Blvd. near Lake Avenue. Ample free parking is available in the lot.

and always welcome volunteer help!

Victorian Tea Dance

A place to practice
Victorian dance,
enjoy a lovely tea time,
and visit with friends
old and new!

The Victorian Tea & Dance Social is a series of monthly gatherings where lovers and admirers of Victorian-era dance can learn, practice, and socialize in a casual setting. Absolute beginners through advanced dancers are welcome.

The Victorian Tea & Dance Society is pleased to invite you to our

SUNDAY AFTERNOON
VICTORIAN TEA DANCE SOCIAL
Sunday June 2nd!

COME JOIN US at the lovely Scottish Rite Cathedral Hall featuring a wooden dance floor, air conditioning, and free parking.*

OUR DANCE PROGRAM will feature LIVE MUSIC and our Guest Teacher this month is Ginger Alberti. She will be bringing us two fun Victorian dances from Greater Russia. There will be group and couples dances. Dances are taught, most dances are suitable to beginners.

OUR TEA TIME will be our annual Russian Tea catered by our friend tea hostess Alvera Klein. She and her husband Israel will also be giving the Tea Talk on Russian Tea. (If you have allergies please inquire ahead of time. We normally offer gluten & dairy-free options.)

If you are new to our Tea Social please arrive 15 minutes early
for a beginners walk through of basic moves.

We would like to encourage guests to bring their own tea plates and cups for tea time instead of using the disposable ones we provide. It will add an elegant touch and help us by reducing the amount of paper waste and clean-up. (Quicker clean-up will allow our Tea Hostesses time to dance after tea!)**
